• ensuring that all residents are registered  with the GP of their choice and other health professionals
   

• ensuring that all support staff are trained in how to support you with personal care in a person centred approach 
   

• preparing and delivering a care plan that meets your identified needs

Dignity and Respect

Dignity and respect are top priorities in our work environment and they are an important aspect of our corporate culture both regarding residents and the internal relationship between our staff. We aim to promote these in the following ways:
 

• treating each resident as a valued and unique individual and always address them in their preferred way
   

• helping residents present themselves to others as they wish, well groomed, looked after
   

• see and treat them always as unique individuals and respect their own personal choices

• try to enhance and maintain their skills for as long as possible

Independence

We will work with residents in order for them to retain as much independence as they desire by:
 

• encouraging residents to be active participants to their person-centred care plan
   

• encouraging  and supporting them to take up hobbies and live as much of a  fulfilled life  as possible
   

• providing  the service in the least restrictive setting

Safety 

We aim to provide a safe environment, where all our residents will feel safeguarded and protected by:
 

• having a secure premises, both external and internal
   

• providing locks on doors
   

• screening all staff ensuring we following safer recruitment processes

• questioning and approaching all unknown visitors
   

• protecting resident from bullying, harassment, avoidable harm and potential abuse
   

• the staff have a comprehensive awareness and understanding of potential abuse
   

• residents and staff  are encouraged to raise their concerns and to challenge, when they feel people's safety is at risk
   

• there is no recrimination for raising concerns  and this is seen as part of day  to day practice 
   

• the service is creative in the way it involves and works with people, respect their diverse needs and challenges every form of discrimination

Cuisine 

Meals and Snacks are prepared by our in-house chef, who ensure there is always an appetising, nutritious and varied menu choice available, using only the freshest produce.
 

Our open plan kitchen /dining area means that you can see what is being prepared for each meal. Special dietary needs and personal tastes are also catered for.
 

Residents can choose to enjoy their meals with others in the dining room ,or if preferred ,they can be served in the privacy of their own room without being restricted to rigid mealtimes. Hot and cold drinks are always available.

Lifestyle

We promote a full and active lifestyle whenever possible and encourage each resident to exercise their own choice in all aspects of their daily life. We wish residents to feel very much at home.
